Introduction

Like a great banyan tree that catches the eye of a passer-by who is suffering without a shade to rest, where three greatest  kings(chera, chola, pandya)and many kings ruled in Tamil Nadu. Velpari gave himself for the suffering lives.

Pari's fame spread throughout the Tamil land due to his selfless generosity and legacy of beloved lifestyle. The Chera, Chola and Pandyas, the three rulers, were overwhelmed by his fame. The underworld of the land of Parambu caught their eyes. Their separate war efforts against Bari were unsuccessful.

In the end all the three were united. Their combined forces attacked Bari's homeland from all directions simultaneously. This happened just as the entire Greek army was making war on the tiny city of Troy.

Tamil Nadu during the Sangam era witnessed numerous bloodshed battles such as Thalaiyanganathu War, Vanilai War, Vakaip Parantalai War ,Kagammala War. Any one of the three was victorious in the war that took place there.Others defeated ranaway. But only in Parambumalai War, all the three were defeated together. This is a heroic story that has never happened before or since in the history of Tamil Nadu.

A conglomeration of Moovendras, who ruled over a large territory, was dispersed by a small land king. After that, the three ministers conspired together, committed fraud and took the life of Pari. Betrayal accomplished what valour could not accomplish.

The names of the winners have not been long last. But the fallen pari was a shining star in history He is a form of the word Vallal(mighty of donation). He was not the only one who gave the toad to the mulberry vine He was the one who planted the flag of victory which shines forever due to his bravery.

The story of Velpari is the prototype of today's struggle between nature and human greed. In the land of Kurinji, where the waterfall pours in every direction, more than that waterfall pari hands had cold hold it Come for walk.

To be continue......
